Hey

Hey...we are all home from school today. It is very cold and windy. I think we are going to Target today and get some stuff that we need at the house. snacks, vacuum bags, diet coke...etc. Oh yea..BIG NEWS...Holly is getting a top tooth. I think that is why she hasnt been feeling so great lately. She had a little fever the other day and just wasnt acting like Holly. I think she is feeling much better because she is all over the place ...like her old self.

Rick is doing good. We have talked to him every day. We get to see and talk to him on the web cam..which is very fun. Holly really loves seeing him on the web cam. She puts her arms out to hold him. It is so sweet. Rick said the other day..."i think she actually is excited to see me" aww...so cute. Ok we are waiting for Holly to wake up so we can leave. Gotta finish some stuff around the house before that. Ok have a grrreat Monday!!!

Happy Saturday!!! Not much going on...just hanging out and keeping warm. The kids and I just made some yummy brownies to take to a friends house for dinner tonight. We are having Nick and Willys pizza...yummy. The week went by fast...Thankfully it is the weekend and Annabelle doesnt have school on Monday. Alan does have school...but he probably wont go...it is only for 2.5 hours and if i dont have to take Annabelle i am certainly not going to go outside in this freezing weather to take him for 2.5 hours!! Alans bunk beds get delivered today. He is so flippin excited. He has been wanting them for a long time. Cant wait to get them all put together and everything in order. Truthfully i dont think i will have EVERYTHING in order EVER!! I try but things just never stay in place...things end up everywhere. I guess that is what happends when you have kids!!! Ok that is all for now....have a happy Saturday!!!

first morning

We had a good first morning by ourselves. There was no whining, complaining, crying, moping...etc. Everyone did GREAT!! We talked to Rick this morning. He was very tired. He didnt sleep at all on the plane. He sounded in good spirits...that is good!! He is calling on the web cam this evening...the kids are very excited to see and talk to him. Ok that is all for now...need to get HP down for a nap. Have a great Wednesday!!!

Hey.... we are just waiting for the big goodbye. It is always a tough week for the Shorts. Hopefully the time will go fast and we can all be hangin out in Japan as a family again soon.

Rick and i went shopping for the kids Valentines gifts. I love Valentines Day. I love the pink and red...so fun!! We picked out some cute little stuff...jammies,undies, cd's..all fun stuff...and of course a little bit of candy.

Mom and Dad are here today. We are just hangin out and relaxing. Shocking news alert.....mom is taking a nap on the floor and SNORING!!! LOL Ok that is all for now...i will post more later and hopefully pics too...have a grrreat Sunday!!!

Not a whole lot planned for today. Rick and the big kids are off to church. Hopefully Alan will be a good listener today. Last week wasnt so great. HP is sleeping and i am just sitting here blogging.

I need to go to the store because the kids want my famous touchdown taco dip for the big game today. yummmy! I am so glad that Rick is still here. It is just soooo great having him home. Ok...have a great Sunday!

Saturday school

It is dads day at Jack and Jill. Alan gets to show Rick around his classroom and introduce him to all of his friends. Alan is pretty excited...but he is glad that it is only for 45 minutes.

Not much else goin on. Later on we are taking the kids to see the Hannah Montana movie. the kids are soooo excited!!! Not sure who is taking them..me or Rick. I think we both want to go...we will have to draw out of hat...its the only fair way....LOL
